Generating Structured Documentation from Video Content

This guide outlines the process of generating structured process documentation automatically from a video source within the Limesync platform. This workflow covers document creation, configuration, review of the automatically generated content, and editing capabilities.

Initiating Document Creation

To begin creating a document, navigate to the main dashboard. The system prompts the user to choose how they want to start, either by selecting Create from scratch or Create from Video.

Clicking the initiation control opens the creation configuration panel on the right side of the screen.

Configuring Video Source Details

In the configuration sidebar, you must specify the required parameters for the new document:

1. Provide a required Name for the document (e.g., "tutorial").
2. Select the appropriate Template type, such as "Document."
3. Under Video source, choose between Upload file or providing a YouTube URL.
4. Upload the video file (e.g., tutorial-silent.mp4).
5. Confirm the expected document Language (e.g., English).

Click Create to submit the configuration, initiating the processing of the video content into documentation.

Accessing and Reviewing the Generated Content

Once processing is complete, the new document will be available within the specified Workspace. Navigate to the list of documents and click on the newly created item, which is identified by the name you provided ("tutorial").

The platform generates comprehensive, structured documentation based on the analysis of the video content. This documentation includes automatically generated text, headings, and embedded visual context (screenshots) derived directly from the video source, covering process steps in the video.

Editing the Document

To refine or modify the generated content, click the Edit button located in the top right corner of the document view.

This action transitions the document into the editing interface, enabling text modification, formatting changes, and content refinement using the integrated editor tools. Ensure you click Save after making any necessary changes.
